First grade is brushing up on phonics this Halloween. 🪥🎃 Our first graders enjoyed Halloween-themed phonics mats that encouraged segmenting and manipulating sounds. They wrote one sound per tooth, then “brushed” away a sound to build new words. A frightfully fun way to strengthen phonemic awareness. 👻✨ Boo-tiful brains at work, first grade! 👻🧠

Today in PreK we carved a pumpkin! The kids had a blast exploring the pumpkin guts and counting seeds to match the number on the board. They had so much fun with this activity, even though some of them thought the guts were "disgusting!"😂🎃

Leeds School is looking for a full-time or part-time bus driver for the 2025-26 school year. Anyone interested in driving a mini bus, which only requires a regular class D license, minimal training, and a physical, should contact the school immediately. We are also in need of large bus drivers, which requires a Class B or C license as well. Please contact the school at 466-2461 if interested. Not having bus drivers could affect our in-town and rural route bus service.
