We have been notified by the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction that Leeds Elementary School is ranked in the top 10% of all North Dakota public schools (total of 289 schools) based on North Dakota accountability indicators. These indicators reflect important outcomes related to student achievement, growth, engagement, and readiness. This distinction reflects the collective efforts of our educators, school leaders, and staff, and the meaningful, positive impact the work we do has on students and families. During the month of December, our first graders spread Christmas cheer as they took turns bringing home a bit of holiday magic! Each student chose a special friend—Santa’s Elf, Mr. or Mrs. Gingerbread, or the Santa Sloth—to spend the night with them. Along with their holiday buddy, students enjoyed a book to read together, a coloring page, and a writing activity to document all the fun they shared. The next day, they proudly brought their friend back to school to share their adventures with classmates. ✨ Best of all, each student got to keep their special holiday friend as a keepsake and memory of this magical experience! ✨ Check out all the creativity these first graders had and the fun they had!
