🎉 Last Day of School Information 🎉
Tomorrow is the final day of school at Leeds School! Students will enjoy games and fun classroom activities throughout the morning as we celebrate another successful school year together.
📍 Schedule for the Day:
• 9:30 AM – Graduation Practice for all Seniors and band members.
• 10:20 AM – 11:00 AM – K–12 Awards Ceremony
• Lunch will be served following the awards ceremony
• 12:30 PM – School Dismissal
We will not be holding our traditional end-of-year picnic this year. In past years, it has taken a significant amount of time to serve everyone, and unfortunately a large amount of food was left over and went to waste. We appreciate your understanding.
Parents who would like to take their students home following the awards ceremony are welcome to do so. Please check in with the classroom teacher prior to taking your student. High school students who do not wish to stay for lunch may be dismissed following the ceremony as well. However, any students riding the bus will need to remain at school until dismissal time.
Thank you to our students, staff, and families for a great school year. Have a safe and enjoyable summer! ☀️

Tomorrow afternoon, Leeds School elementary and high school students will be paired together to walk around town picking up litter and garbage as part of our annual Town Clean-Up Day. This is a great opportunity for our students to give back and help keep our community looking its best!
Please make sure students come prepared with:
• Boots and/or old shoes
• Jacket or sweatshirt
• Pants
• Work gloves (if they have them)
The weather is expected to be warmer, but windy, so dressing appropriately is important.
Students will enjoy ice cream treats upon completion! 🍦
🚸 Leeds community members, please be on the lookout for our students between 2:00–3:00 PM and use extra caution while driving around town for their safety.
Thank you for supporting our students and helping us take pride in our community!

As part of our school’s continuous improvement process, we value feedback from our parents and families. Information gathered from the parent survey helps guide planning, identify strengths, and determine areas where we can continue to improve our programs and school environment. We encourage all parents to please take a few moments to complete the survey. The survey link was included in your email, and it is also available on the school webpage.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our band and art teacher for inspiring creativity, expression, and a love for the arts in our students. We are grateful for our school secretary and business manager, whose organization, efficiency, and behind-the-scenes work keep our school running smoothly.
We also recognize our social worker and counselor for the care, guidance, and support they provide to our students’ well-being. Finally, we thank our special education teacher and paraprofessional for their dedication, patience, and commitment to meeting the diverse needs of all learners.
Their contributions do not go unnoticed, and we are thankful for the positive impact they have on our students and school community every day.

Due to the continued colder temperatures this week, the decision has been made to postpone the Benson County Play Day to Wednesday, May 13th.
We are hopeful for a warm-up in the forecast so we can enjoy a great day of elementary track and field events together! 🤞🌤️
Thank you for your understanding, and we’re looking forward to a fun and successful Play Day on the 13th!

Today, we recognize and celebrate several important members of our school community as part of Staff Appreciation Week.
We extend our sincere gratitude to our facilities manager for maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our students and staff each day. We also recognize our Title I teacher and paraprofessionals for their dedication to supporting student learning and providing meaningful academic interventions. Our cook plays a vital role in ensuring students are well-nourished and ready to learn. Finally, we celebrate our elementary choir teacher for sharing her talents and bringing joy to our school through music.
Throughout the week, we will continue to honor and celebrate members of our staff who contribute to the success of our students and school. Today, we are especially grateful for these individuals and the positive impact they make every day.

The staff at Leeds School want to give a big shoutout to our amazing principal, Mrs. Eberle. We are so thankful for everything she does for our school each and every day. From supporting staff to cheering on students, she truly helps make Leeds a great place to be.
