Junior High & High School Conferences (Grades 7–12):
Conferences will be held on a first-come, first-served basis. If a teacher is meeting with another parent, please wait outside the classroom until the teacher is available.
⭐ High School Extra Credit Reminder:
High school students can earn extra credit points for each class their parents attend conferences. Parents must sign the attendance roster in each classroom to ensure their child receives credit.
We encourage all parents to attend and take this opportunity to visit with teachers about their child's academic progress. We look forward to seeing you on November 5th!

Leeds Public School's National Honor Society is once again hosting its annual **Pop Tab Challenge!**
📅 **November 2–20, 2026**
Start saving those aluminum tabs from pop cans, soup cans, and other canned goods tabs! All tabs collected will benefit the **Ronald McDonald House**, helping support families with children receiving medical care.
❤️ **Every tab counts!** Something so small can make a BIG difference for families in need.
We encourage all students, families, and community members to join us in collecting tabs for this great cause!

👕 **Please DO NOT wear green!** The photographer uses a green screen for backgrounds, so green clothing may interfere with the pictures.
📝 Picture order forms have been sent home with students. **If you plan to order pictures, please send the completed forms back to school with your child tomorrow.**

Annual Scholastic Book Fair will be held the week of November 2 - 6, 2026. It will be open during Parent Teacher conferences on November 5th.
We hope families will stop in a visit the fair.

New drop off/pick up procedure to be implemented starting Monday, October 12th.
Designated drop off/pickup areas: Spaces with signage on WEST side of school and loop on EAST side of school. These are not parking spaces.
Designated ONE WAY only traffic flow during school hours (see arrows on map): 1)Gravel road on WEST side of school (4th Ave SE) will be ONE WAY from South to North. 2)Loop directly in front of EAST side of school will be ONE WAY from North to South.
Handicapped parking will now be on the sidewalk side of the loop in front of the school.
NO TRAFFIC PERMITTED on 2nd Street SE except school buses and staff parking during drop-off and pickup times of the school day.
Our school district realizes this may be a change in routine for some, but our concern for safety and a more orderly procedure and traffic flow was necessary.

Last week, the Mobile Career Exploration Classroom (MCEC) came to visit our School! Our 7th, 8th, and 12th grade students were able to explore different careers using VR headsets.
It's fire prevention week! PreK had a local firefighter as their guest reader today. Tom brought some of his gear with for the kids to try on. They even walked away with their own fire hats! They had so much fun! 🚒🧯

🎃🚒 **A Fun Week Ahead for Our Elementary Students!** 🚒🎃
We have two special activities planned this week!
🎃 **Wednesday – Engstrom Pumpkin Patch**
Our students will be heading to the pumpkin patch to walk through the field and **pick out their own pumpkin to take home!**
Please dress your child for the weather **and to get dirty!** Old shoes/boots, pants, sweatshirts or jackets, and gloves are recommended.
👟 **Please send a clean pair of shoes to change into when students return to school.** We want to leave the dirt and mud at the pumpkin patch—not in our hallways! 😊
🚒 **Friday – Leeds Fire Department Visit**
In recognition of **Fire Prevention Month**, the Leeds Fire Department will be visiting us at school! Students will spend time outside checking out the fire trucks and equipment and learning important fire prevention and safety tips from our local firefighters.
Friday will be cooler, so please make sure students wear **pants and bring a sweatshirt or jacket** for their time outside.
A big thank you to **Engstrom Pumpkin Patch and the Leeds Fire Department** for providing these fun, hands-on experiences for our students! 💙💛

🏀 ELEMENTARY GIRLS BASKETBALL SCHEDULE UPDATE 🏀
Due to a couple of scheduling conflicts, please note the following changes for our final week of Elementary Girls Basketball:
📍 TODAY: Game will be in Rugby at Ely Elementary at 4:30 PM due to a gym conflict.
📍 TUESDAY: Game will be in Lakota at 4:30 PM due to a bussing conflict.
📍 THURSDAY: Game will be in Maddock at 4:30 PM, as listed on the original schedule.
These will be our final three games of the season!

Elementary Boys Basketball Season Information
The pumpkin faces are starting to get cut out. Next step will be painting our pumpkins. We are still searching for 4 more tanks if anybody has any I will come pick them up.

Ag mechanics is learning about metal cutting. Oxy Acetylene torch cutting and plasma cutting two similar processes with multiple factors for students to learn about. Oxy acetylene project was to cut through 1/2" thick 1x1 square tubing, while the plasma cutting project was to practice cutting on 1/8 sheet metal. The pumpkin faces you see here are hitting are a small fundraiser we will be putting out to the project in the near future. Keep a look out for some "FFA Pumpkins"
This past weekend was ND FFA Leadership Conference in Bismarck. Our crew had a blast busting a move at the FFA dance and game night after spending a couple days growing knowledge on what it takes to be a successful FFA member and leadership skills.
We are hosting a late homecoming fire fall ball for the 7-12 grade students of Leeds High School tomorrow night (Friday the 25th) at the Leeds School. The time will run from 8 pm to 11 pm. This is an outdoor event so please dress accordingly. There will be smores and drinks, music, and multiple games to play throughout the night.
Hope to see all the 7th-12th graders out to make an appearance!
