Who We Are
The Leeds School District provides students with a quality education in a safe learning environment. Community support for students and the school has made Leeds the school of choice for families throughout Benson County. The Leeds area is a sportsman’s paradise with world class hunting and fishing. Agriculture is the main industry producing abundant amounts of wheat, canola, corn, soybeans, and several varieties of beans.
Leeds Public Schools offers a full K-12 program to support the academic, social and emotional growth of our students. This includes a complete range of academics, dual credit college classes, FFA, FCLA, athletics, music and the arts. Our experienced staff provides students with high quality instruction supported by professional development that is focused on best practices.
Leeds School District Vision Statement
Our vision is that the Leeds School District will be able to provide all of our students with a personalized, quality education that enables them to achieve their full potential. The district will build capacity through integrated professional development so that we continue to be staffed by committed and capable teachers who differentiate instruction, engage students, and challenge students to maximize their social, emotional, academic and physical growth. A teacher professional learning community will be focused on implementing research based best practices and meeting individual student needs. The school culture will be founded on teamwork, learning and cooperation. Curriculum, instruction and assessment will provide students with the knowledge and skills to be successful in the careers of their choice, and all students will be college or career ready when they graduate. An updated school facility and technology infrastructure will enable staff to leverage web based resources, adaptive software programs and artificial intelligence to maximize student learning. Student disciplinary issues will be limited. Resource utilization will be efficient, and decisions will be based on doing what is best for students. A collaborative relationship with all stakeholders will be based on trust, communication and shared values, and these relationships will support district teachers, administrators, and the community in realizing this vision.
